About the Exhibition
"Two Way Reaching," by contemporary fine artist Emily Shay is a deeply symbolic showcase of original artwork that explores the universal pattern of spiritual and personal becoming through the metaphor of the Garden.
"Two Way Reaching"
There’s a rhythm stitched into both nature and the soul: We go down before we rise.
Our transformations often begin in places that feel unknown, uncertain, even dark. This exhibition follows that sacred rhythm through three living symbols — soil, flower, and tree — re-examining our Garden story of origin as a pattern of growth and becoming.
Faith is the soil that holds us when sight fails. Hope is the flower reaching quietly in the middle space. Love is the tree, rooted and crowned, bearing fruit for others.
Through these paintings and poems, you’re invited to kneel in the dirt, breathe with the flowers, and rise with the trees. To hold both the shadow and the light — as Christ did — and to discover that what feels buried may, in truth, be the beginning of the bloom.

The Wilderness of Becoming
Learn MoreEve did not fall —she began. Down into soil, into mystery, into the first becoming.
-
Mother of All Living
Learn MoreShe went down, so we could rise up. It wasn’t a stumble, but a sacred descent.
-
What the Flowers Know
Learn MoreHope doesn’t rush.It blooms slowly —through dirt, through doubt, through days that don’t look like spring.
-
Written on Her Heart
Learn MoreIs it sunrise, or have we missed the light? How long must she read before the dark takes the words?

Lady of The Lake
She wades where faith touches hope—
Where thirst meets growth,
and the unknown begins to breathe.
Flowers press her chest,
Pulse between water and root.
Is this what held hope feels like—
Willing, womb-led,
Waiting with purpose.
She says do not rush what is sacred and receive from her hand this tool, this divine gift, this excalibur of hope.
