8 X 10 Oil on Copper We live in a world where loss is inevitable. Everything comes to an end. The flower with its delicate and fleeting bloom is a powerful and familiar example of that reality. I also believe in a loving God. In classical painting, the jasmine flower featured here is used as a symbol of the love of God and a connection to divinity. So, this single flower represents both the temporary nature of life and the eternal being who never ends. The floating hair and shawl give this piece the feeling of being somewhat other worldly and the copper shine makes the whole painting appear different from different angles. For me it about my experiences with grief and loss and my feeling deeply loved by God. Part of the original show "Finding Peace" by Lovetta Reyes-Cairo October 2026 at Havenlight Gallery, Orem Utah. Original artwork of Oil on Copper Panel 8" x 10". Framed at 14.5" x 16.5.
Lovetta Reyes-Cairo is an artist and mother working from her home studio in Utah. Her work often includes the human figure and explores ideas of motherhood, spirituality, and love.
