I love the simplicity and yet poignant symbolism associated with still life paintings, and the beauty and form of simple objects, be it a piece of fruit, vegetable, or a composed display of objects.

I love the accessibility and depth of still life painting. What may seem like a simple composition for one viewer, could actually hold a depth of meaning to another. It can be appreciated all the same by both parties. I feel the simplicity in symbolic objects has a lot to say, but can do so without a lot of pomp and circumstance, and is open to interpretation of the viewer.

About the Artist

Tyler’s journey as an artist began early and grew through years of study, including a BFA in Illustration from BYU and a Master’s in Italian with an emphasis in Art History. His love for classical art deepened while living in Italy, where he studied Renaissance masterpieces firsthand. After returning home, he discovered a passion for teaching and now works full-time as an art instructor at his alma mater. Encouraged by his wife to enter juried shows—many of which accepted his work—Tyler began dedicating more time to still life painting. He’s drawn to the quiet symbolism of everyday objects, finding meaning in their simplicity. Today, he lives in Utah with his wife and two children, often painting subjects inspired by the fruit trees in their backyard.

Many of the items on our site are custom made or built to order, especially framed items. A shipping time requested as "2-Day Priority Mail" refers to the shipment time once the item has shipped and does not include any assembly window. We pride ourselves on our efficient and timely system, but the complexity of an order will impact delivery. Orders to Hawaii may take 3-4 weeks to arrive via USPS.
