As a child, my family and I would collect monarch caterpillars, keeping them in a sunroom habitat where we fed them milkweed until they transformed into butterflies. Once fully grown, we’d release them back into the wild. Watching their journey from tiny, wriggling caterpillars to vibrant, graceful butterflies captivated me. The transformation was nothing short of miraculous.
As I grew older, I began to see a beautiful parallel between the butterfly’s metamorphosis and our spiritual journey with Christ. We come into the world full of wonder, discovering who Jesus is. Like the caterpillar nourishes itself, we grow spiritually by learning His word and living His teachings. When we surrender ourselves to the healing embrace of Christ, we are transformed, emerging from our cocoon of faith as radiant, renewed beings.
