Gentle Call

A lamb that is lost is really in a bad predicament. No sense of direction, no ability to find its way back home, and completely exposed to many dangers lurking around. I made this image of Jesus reaching His hands down into the hole to rescue the lamb, because I wanted to show this rescue operation was 100% of the Lord. The lamb could do nothing of its own power to save itself, and needed two loving hands to reach out. The nail scars remind us that Jesus loves us so much He was willing to die for us, so that we might live. It makes me think of this verse: "I will strengthen you, I will help you, and I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
