There is something sacred in the act of giving. My first idea for this painting was that the child is giving the bouquet of wildflowers to Jesus, but I have realized that it could also be read the other way, with Christ being the one to give them. Then I decided that it doesn’t matter. Our loving relationship with Christ goes both ways. He has given all to us, and we give back what we can. Love is often expressed in small ways, and those moments matter more than we realize. Original artwork of Oil on Board 12” x 16”. Painted 2026.
For over 20 years, Cortney Lunt has been a full time mom and a part time artist. Family has always been her main priority, and continues to be so, but she is finding more time for her art as her family is growing up. Art, family, and spirituality have always been interconnected for her. She loves to paint anything that brings joy.
