Her Leaf Shall Be Green

The symbolism of the tree is quite significant throughout the Bible. Trees often represent the idea of perseverance and deeply rooted faith in the Lord and Savior. Through nurturing our faith in God, choosing to act under his direction, and trusting that His hand is reaching out to catch us when we fall, we can become a strong and sturdy tree, withstanding the storms of life.

This symbolism is clearly laid out in Jeremiah 17:7-8, which says, “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
