Never has so much been offered in so few words. Before this life, in the pre-existence, Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice for all. How grateful I am that He stepped up to the plate; He was the only one who could. He did not have to, but He did because He loved us.
From personal experience, I can testify that Jesus Christ knows and loves you perfectly, individually. This piece is made up of several small marks each representing us, those in His kingdom here on earth. Those in His church, in a sense, make up "the body of Christ". His offering was done for each person individually. The symbolism of each mark is meant to represent the individual nature of Christ's life and sacrifice for each and every one of us.
How grateful I am for a personal Savior, to know that, had it only been me, He would have given His life anyway. Had it been just me that needed saving, the utterance would have still been: "Here am I, send me". I love Him for that.
