In His Hands

Underneath this painting is a study of a mountain that I didn’t feel the need to keep, so I decided to paint over the top of it so that I didn’t waste the linen panel. At first I didn’t think much of it, but really there is great symbolism there with this small child’s hands in Christ’s hands. The world can seem so daunting for these small children in the world with many mountains that seem to be in the way, but with being in Christ’s hands and remembering what He has done for us, they will be okay. For over 20 years, Cortney Lunt has been a full time mom and a part time artist. Family has always been her main priority, and continues to be so, but she is finding more time for her art as her family is growing up. Art, family, and spirituality have always been interconnected for her. She loves to paint anything that brings joy. She truly feels like the Lord has had a hand in her work and is very grateful for the opportunity to share her artwork with others.
