20 X 16 Oil on Canvas
The reference for this painting came while I was taking a group of BYUI painting class students to visit Jackson Wyoming. The snow was too deep to go over the normal Jackson Pass route so we used the longer way through Palisades and the South Fork of the Snake River canyon. We stopped at a roadside turn out to take photos of some mountain goats. They were so high up that they appeared as just white dots. It started as a demo in class; totally fogged in as the photos, but latter in the studio I decided to open up the clouds and add a little spot of sunlight.
