Art Story

58 X 68 Oil on Board

Have you ever felt lost on your path?

This painting captures my organic faith journey...

Its winding path symbolizes challenges, the dead tree representing trials, & the 'tree of life' symbolizing growth through faith & the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Ignatius of Antioch's words resonate: "Faith, the beginning, & love the end." Faith is our journey & destination, bridged by hope-Hope guides us through!

Another Hebrew word for hope is "tikvah," meaning a cord that nourishes us. Job cried out, "Oh that I might have my request-that hope, my hope, the thing I long for...". Grounding us in life's storms, hope anchors us to heaven.

Hope is gritty, hard work...It's an action Dostoevsky said, "To live without hope is to cease to live." Hope carries us through the messy middle.

Ether 12:4 says, "Whoso believes in God might with surety hope for a better world... which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men." Faith gives us hope, & this hope becomes our anchor.

Even in the darkest moments, this anchor, rooted in Jesus Christ, holds firm. "The Count of Monte Cristo" concludes: "Until the day when God will deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is contained in these two words-wait & hope." If we can wait & hope, we will endure, knowing we are not alone.

There have been times when my soul felt like that dead tree. I've been lost & confused while navigating shadowy paths. Incredibly, God has walked this path-knowing every curve & shadow. His empathy & guidance

anchor us to bring faith, hope & love every step of the way.

Faith is the beginning, hope is the middle, & love is the end. May your path of faith be anchored in hope, that you may feel His love.
