As each person is different, we all seem to interpret the character of Jesus Christ differently. He is the only person to live a perfect life. I’ve never had the opportunity to meet or to see Him. Since I was a young child, I have wondered about what He would look like and how He would act. Over time, some of my thoughts about His character and appearance have changed. I’ve questioned what it looks like to be perfectly humble, patient, loving, and willing to allow agency and it’s inevitable consequences. Of course, I struggle to achieve even one these characteristics with any consistency. But, over time, I have pieced together an idea of His character from the examples of Christlike people I know, stories of His life, His guidance to His people, and my own experiences with Him. Together, these make some aspects of His character more clear, they fill in gaps, easing what were once considered contradictions, and/or replacing old conceptions with a more accurate view. I hope to eventually know Him at least well enough to recognize Him.
