The Saviors Love - Black Hair

Posting this late as I've been trying to find the words to communicate the feelings I've had while creating this piece-but I don't think words could adequately express the perfect love the Savior has for each of God's children. But here are some of the thoughts that are on my mind tonight. As I worked on this piece, I imagined this being what it's like right before a child is sent down to earth. The love He must feel for this child He knows so perfectly- a love that is so tangible when in the presence of a newborn. They are so fresh from their Savior's embrace- they are pure, innocent, and filled with life and hope. I picture this also being what it's like when one of God's precious children returns to their heavenly home. When a child is already whole and their journey is complete, and they are once again reunited and in the presence of the Savior, I can only imagine what a sweet reunion it would be as that child is wrapped in His eternal love and grace once again, and that love the child brought into the world, remains to comfort their loved ones and remind them that they are safe and alive in Christ.

I’m Hailey, and I’m an artist and mom to Krew! He’s our little best friend and keeps life so fun!

My husband, Jake, and I grew up in Utah but we’re living in Virginia while he’s in PA school! My earliest childhood memories were of living in Virginia when my dad was going to school so it’s been so fun to be back to my roots! We love the east coast and feel so blessed we ended up where we did, our time out here has been some of the greatest memories we’ve made as a little family!

I’m an introvert and growing up, creating art was an outlet that allowed me to express myself. I loved the way art could convey an emotion or feeling to the person looking at it and was fascinated by the way an artist could begin with a blank canvas and create something beautiful from nothing, just their mind and some paint (or whatever materials you use to create!) It’s honestly the coolest thing if you think about it!!

As I’ve gotten older, and gone through some tough things in the past few years, I’ve learned how much I need the strength of my Savior. It has developed a desire in me to bring others closer to Christ through my work and to help them feel His love. I’m not only passionate about art that is meaningful, but also beautiful too and love working with color to push emotion and create something you’d want hanging in your home!

My hope with sharing my art is that I’ll bring some beauty and positivity to your feed, and make you feel seen and represented no matter what walk of life you come from.
