Woman at The Well

In this piece, I wanted to capture the intimate and transformative moment between Jesus and the woman at the well. The woman at the well is often celebrated not only for her encounter with Christ but also for her openness to receive His message, even in her brokenness. Jesus offers her ‘living water,’ which symbolizes His gospel—a source of hope and healing that quenches the deepest spiritual thirst. She is an example of humility and faith, teaching us that Christ meets us where we are, no matter our past, and offers us grace in abundance.

This painting reflects the beauty of that meeting. She came with a need, and He met her with a gift—one that would change her life forever. In her willingness to receive, she found a wellspring of hope, a flow of divine love that would never run dry. I hope this artwork reminds you that Christ is always there, waiting to fill our hearts and souls with living water when we come to Him as we are.

Offering grace, unearned and plain.

He spoke of thirst—the deep kind.
And right there, in the middle of it all,
He gave her hope, a life anew,

She left with not only water,
But a well of hope, a heart made whole.
A gift eternal, flowing inside,
A promise strong, a steady guide.

In every thirst, in every need,
He stands beside, a friend indeed.
