Continue ShoppingI'm Michael VaughAn from Orem, Utah. In 1997 I started shooting Black and White infrared film (Kodak, Konica, Ilford) exclusively with a Pentax K-1000 camera. I captured architecture and landscapes in Montana, Idaho, and Utah mainly. To control the total process of producing an image, I learned computer graphics starting with Photoshop 4 and Illustrator 7. My first digital camera was a Minolta Dimage 7. After all these years of updating my skills and cameras I still love capturing and retouching images.
Currently, I still scan, restore, retouch, and archive literally thousands of images for clients. I love the fact that each image has a story worth preserving. I also shoot reference photography for commissioned artwork and paintings. My work has been displayed in many venues and galleries including New York Society of Illustrators (photo composite), Times Square Jumbotron, The Louvre in Paris, and more.
