As A Child
Luke 18:16
In the late afternoon, the Savior finds himself at the outskirts of the village. He notices the little children gathered next to the shade from the old palm trees and watches as they play games together.
Caught up in their own little world, they pay little or no attention to the strangers who pass by. There is one stranger however that is different from all of the others. He joins the boys game and sits down on the bench beside them in the sand where they have their makeshift marble court. Quickly they recognize that this stranger is different, he has a genuine interest in them, they can feel his overwhelming love as they share a few moments together in the warm afternoon sun.
Earlier he said “…Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” (Luke 18:16).
That afternoon the Savior found his little heaven on earth as he stopped and enjoyed a moment with the children.
