This painting was a consolation gift to a sister in our Stake whose husband died. Sooner or later each of us will experience death of loved ones and will ask oneself the question "Will I still see you again?" The image of the resurrected Christ appearing to Mary is an attempt to give hope and comfort in the midst of grief and loss. This painting depicts the touching moment between grief and hopelessness and everlasting joy. It serves as a reminder that even in the darkest moments of life, there is hope and light, and that our loved ones who have passed away are not truly gone, but live on in the heavenly spheres.
