Art Story

An image of Mary and Josephs shadows as they are walking through Bethlehem in their search for overnight lodging. There is an inscription upon wall in the background - the text from Luke 2:4-7 - "And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:), to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn".

Hebrew Translation:

And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

About the Artist

I am a self-taught artist, born and raised in Ukraine. I was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1993 when it first started in my country. My journey as an artist began during my teenage years, but I put it aside to focus on my academic pursuits. In 2020, I reignited my passion for creating, returning to the affection I had once set aside.

In my art, I strive to find greatness in the simple things and highlight the often-overlooked beauty in the world around us. I aim to explore meaningful moments, often incorporating hidden details that reflect truth and invite deeper reflection. I firmly believe in the transformative power of art—not just as a visual medium, but as a way to reach into our homes and connect profoundly with our spirits.
